The giant cruise ship MSC Splendida rescued 19 people – including some children – on Sunday before their boat capsized in the Mediterranean Sea. “They must have survived a night of storm at sea,” says Flemish Magali Capurso (46), who was on board and saw the drowning people signaling for help.
