Danny de Munk initially did not want to participate in Het Perfecte Plaatje VIPS, but decided to do it anyway. However, he absolutely does not like another program from RTL. “I don’t do that.”
After the false accusations against him, Danny de Munk was immediately suspended by RTL, but when it turned out that there was no truth in the alleged abuse, the singer was allowed to appear on the scene again. Actually, he didn’t feel like doing anything anymore, because that intense period had had a major impact on him and his family.
Danny didn’t want to
A few years ago, Danny really had to be persuaded to participate in Het Perfecte Plaatje VIPS. “I had just come out of that nasty period when I was wrongly accused and didn’t feel the need to be among a group of people for a TV program,” he says in the Story.
The rape charge was ultimately dismissed by the court. “I had to defend myself for something that never happened. There had been a lot of fuss and I came from far away, and that’s why I didn’t want to participate in The Perfect Picture.”
No Robinson
Why did Danny finally say yes? “Jenny said it would be good for me, that this was the mindset I needed. That’s why I said yes. And it turned out to be exactly what I needed. Jenny has an eye for that. Just like she said in 2012 that I should play the role of Jesus in The Passion, something I actually wanted to say no to.”
However, there is one RTL job that he is really not up for. “Expedition Robinson. It is a fantastic program, but I don’t like ending up in a group of people that I don’t know. That doesn’t suit me.”
