Iltalehti’s Lätkämanageri was very popular in February. It’s time for another tournament.

Iltalehti’s Lätkämanageri is an Ice Hockey-themed fantasy manager game.

– I hope this will happen in connection with the next prize competitions as well.

– The World Championships could be a good continuation this spring 🙂

– A similar game to the spring World Cup.

Among other things, we received such feedback about Iltalehti’s Lätkämanager, which was launched in February. At the time of the Milan puck tournament, there were 23,000 players, the vast majority of whom seemed to like our free game based on the feedback.

Now we are happy to announce that the free Lätkämanageri can also be played in May in connection with the World Cup. The next game opens on Monday, May 4. The WC tournament itself starts on Friday, May 15.

You can find the game at www.iltalehti.fi/latkamanageri.

Improvement for mini leagues

Based on the feedback, we have made some changes to Lätkämanager. The most concrete and visible improvement is related to the fact that in the mini league you can now directly see the lineups of other mini league teams in the ongoing round of matches by clicking on the team name. This was much hoped for.

In the first tournament, more than 5,000 different private mini-leagues were established.

– This is absolutely great in a group of friends, praised one of the players who gave feedback in our survey.

We have also changed the so-called default match round when the player switches to the team view. Instead of defaulting to showing a round for which trades can be made, as long as there are games left in the current round, the default view is for that current round.

Small changes have also been made to the scoring of the players. Goalkeepers’ and defenders’ points for goals and assists are now determined differently. The Lätkämanageri points received by the defenders have been slightly increased. Likewise, goalkeepers will receive slightly more points for saves and clean sheets in the future.

Accurate with match rounds

In the match schedule of the upcoming WC tournament, the rhythms of the teams are slightly different from each other. The World Cup tournament is divided into eight different match rounds in Lätkämanager. There are five rounds in the initial group stage. It is worth looking carefully at which teams play in which round and how many matches.

Compared to the previous tournament, the number of free player exchanges has also been increased. Now you can freely make three substitutions per round of matches, whereas last time only two. If you wish, you can save the switches and use them in later match rounds.

Before the start of the tournament, players can be changed freely. Since the World Cup teams are specified in different countries at different times, when the game opens there are players who will not make the final World Cup teams. Similarly, as the tournament approaches and even during it, new players will be available for selection as the teams are completed. It is good to consider these points when making choices.

The rules of Lätkämanager with scoring and the rhythm of match rounds can now be found more easily than before directly from the link on the game’s front page.

The user interface of the game has remained the same as in the first tournament, but small fine adjustments have been made to functionality and scoring.

Cash prizes the same

Lätkämanager’s cash prizes are unchanged. The winner will receive a grand prize of 1,000 euros. All in all, the top 10 get the prizes. The age limit for Lätkämanager is 18 years, and the award can only be received by verifying that you are of legal age.

As before, playing Lätkämanager is free, but requires logging in with an Alma ID. Only one team per user is allowed.

In addition to private mini-leagues, the game now also includes open mini-leagues established with our partners, which anyone can join. These leagues have their own prizes.
