Ilary Blasi, the new book “Che Stupida” on her history with Totti

TO not even two months after the release of the docu-film on Netflix Unique, Ilary Blasi has announced that she wants to continue the story of her love story with Francesco Totti, between betrayals and mutual accusations. She will do it with a book, How stupidout on January 30th by Mondadori.

Ilary Blasi, tears in “Unica”: «I couldn't believe that Francesco had done something like that»

Ilary Blasi, now also the book

The communication of the arrival of the book came from the presenter’s Instagram profile. In addition to publishing the cover of the book – which portrays her in the foreground with a straw hat covering her eyes and nose – Ilary Blasi explained the genesis of this project.

«Friends call me “Ice Princess”.. And not because I often wear the same color hair as Elsa from Frozen, but because I don’t let my emotions dominate me. I live them to the full, let’s be clear,” she wrote. And immediately after: “Happiness, sadness, enthusiasm, nostalgia, pain… I let them fill me, yet I safeguard the command bridge of the ship: that space must remain clear for action, in case of unforeseen events.”

How stupida book «with an unexpected ending»

On Instagram, Ilary Blasi continued. «I had the impression that a dark tide was spreading inside me and reaching the bridge. I had never had to force myself to remain rational, that time I did». And she concluded, summarizing the meaning of this book: «How stupid And a story of pain and rebirth, mine. With an unexpected ending».

If it is true that the ending will be unexpected, at the same time the content of this volume is easily conceivable. Just as he had done about himself in front of the Netflix cameras for his much talked about documentary, even now Ilary Blasi will talk about her troubled history with the footballer Francesco Totti. From the beginningwhen the two embodied the new King and Queen of Rome (remember the live television of their wedding?), until the sad epiloguebetween barbs, accusations, betrayals and often conflicting versions.

In his uncontradictory story, Ilary Blasi had spoken of the peaceful relationship they had had for almost twenty years, so much so that their family immediately expanded with Cristian (born 2005), Chanel (2007) and Isabel (2016). But most of all she had told of the betrayal she had suffered from her husband. And not only. Among the moments narrated by Blasi also that of her husband’s farewell to football and that of her success as a presenter at Mediaset (speaking of this, apparently we will see her again at the helm of The Island of the Famous).

«I survived, I’m still standing»

In short: there are many names and many stories that intertwine in this feuilleton which inevitably fascinated Italians. And the names that have the most weight now are two. On the one hand that of Bastian Muller, the new boyfriend of the presenter and TV face. On the other, that of Noemi BocchiTotti’s current partner.

We read, in a short excerpt from the book published by Mondadori: «In early November I fell asleep in Francesco’s arms, the next morning I woke up to someone who looked a lot like him, but it wasn’t him. shy, distant, absent, looking for excuses to go out: a dinner with friends, a game of cards or five-a-side football, padel…”.

And, talking about the estrangement with her life partner, she wrote. «They have been twelve horrible, but also intense, months in which I discovered myself, my resources. I survived but not only that: I’m still standing. How stupid it is the story of pain and rebirth, extraordinary yet common, of a woman who has lost love but has never lost herself».
