DHis first novel says: “You have to read it because it is a masterpiece.” Long live the face. TO Ilaria Caffiopoet and writer Tarantina, born in 1991, is not lacking self -esteem. Except, reading his proof of debut Silk coffinpublished by Solferino (necklace The peacocksedited by the author Teresa Ciabatti) one can only recognize a personal style and sincerity in the exposure of the themes, to the limit of brutality, which deserves respect and arouses admiration.
We write here, also because The story that Ilaria tells is a story of women, in which men remain in the background As pale (sometimes tender) and irrelevant appearances. The women of the novel instead sink their nails into life until they bleed: they love each other, hate, create empty and full in their own existences and in those of the others.
Specifically There is a sick and anaffective mother, a greater daughter who knows its unconfessable secrets and claims her affection, being ignored. And a younger sister, protected by the older from the ugly that surrounds her. The two sisters are united by a blood pact and a wardrobe in which they lock themselves, girls, together with their fears.

The story of how the life of the younger sister will condition that of the other fills the pagesswelling them like sails that tows the story. Ilaria Caffio brings us aboard a deep pain that changes shape as the main character grows, but who never finds redemption. The language, treated and used in a personal way, resonates as an orchestra of often deliberately dissonant tools.
