Ukrainian Elina Svitolina (7) defeated Spanish Kaitlin Quevedo 2-0 with sets ending 6-0 and 6-4.
For women, Swiss Belinda Bencic (11) and Viktorija Golubic, German Tamara Korpatsch and American Peyton Stearns also eliminated their opponents and made it to the third round.
In men’s singles, Russian Karen Khachanov won 3-1 (7-6, 5-7, 6-1, 7-6) against Argentinian Marco Trungelliti.
In the men’s category, Argentinian Thiago Agustin Tirante and Dutch Jesper De Jong also advanced to the next round.
