If European states refuse Russian gas, other countries will buy it. This statement was made by the official representative of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov.
“We have been living under sanctions for decades. We are used to this,” Peskov said in an interview with the French channel LCI. “As for gas, we will try to export it to other countries. Many people need gas.”
Many European countries, as well as the United States, have imposed anti-Russian sanctions after Moscow launched a special operation to protect the republics of Donbass.
At the end of March, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin announced the transfer of payments for gas with “unfriendly” countries into rubles. Some European states found it impossible to pay for blue fuel in Russian currency. However, there were those who expressed readiness to pay in rubles.
