The “Kaiser” himself wished the German soccer players all the best for the European Championships in England. Franz Beckenbauer met the national team as part of the training camp in Herzogenaurach, as confirmed by the German Football Association.
The 76-year-old soccer idol had an appointment at Adidas headquarters and came across the players. These could also be photographed with Beckenbauer.
First “Bild” reported on the meeting. The selection of national coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg flies to London on Sunday. She will play her first group game at the European Championship next Friday (9:00 p.m. CEST) in Brentford against Denmark.
