National ice hockey player Tim Stützle has continued his personal series in the NHL. The German striker contributed an assist in the Ottawa Senators’ 4-2 win against the Winnipeg Jets. The 23-year-old scored points in the twelfth game in a row.
In total, Stützle now has 43 points as a scorer in the current season (24 assists, 19 goals). Most recently he remained without a point in the 2-1 loss against St. Louis on December 7th.
The NHL day was less pleasant for the other German professionals. Leon Draisaitl remained without a scorer in his Edmonton Oilers’ 2:5 defeat against the Philadelphia Flyers.
John-Jason Peterka lost 4-1 with Utah Mammoth to the New Jersey Devils, Moritz Seider suffered a 4-1 defeat with the Detroit Red Wings against the Pittsburgh Penguins, and Nico Sturm also didn’t record a point in his Minnesota Wild’s 4-5 penalty shootout win against the Los Angeles Kings.
Marco Sturm, on the other hand, celebrated a victory: The former national coach coached the Boston Bruins in their 3-2 win after overtime against the Vancouver Canucks and celebrated their second success in a row after their most recent win at the Oilers.
