Without Leon Draisaitl, the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL recorded an impressive win over the Seattle Kraken. The Oilers won the North American Ice Hockey League 7-2 (4-0, 2-2, 1-0).

Seattle’s German goalie Philipp Grubauer had a day to forget, having conceded three goals in the first four minutes. He was only able to parry two out of five shots on his goal.

The outstanding player was once again Connor McDavid, who marked the final score in the final third and had previously been involved in four goals. With 72 points, the 25-year-old Canadian clearly leads the list of scorers in the best ice hockey league in the world.

McDavid has both scored and hung up the most goals. Draisaitl, whose short-term absence the Oilers initially did not comment on, follows with 57 points.

After winning the direct division duel, the Edmonton Oilers are currently in third place in the Pacific Division and a direct playoff place. The Seattle Kraken, who started the season well, are ninth in the Western Conference after seven defeats in the past ten games.
