Behind them were the Adler Mannheim, who had to admit defeat at home to the Nuremberg Ice Tigers 2:4 (0:1, 1:1, 1:2).
EHC Red Bull Munich moved past the Dresden Eislöwen in the table with a 3:1 (1:0, 1:0, 1:1). The ERC Ingolstadt, which had announced the contract extension with record professional Daniel Pietta before the game, defeated the Straubing Tigers 5:4 (2:2, 2:2, 1:0).
The Augsburg Panthers celebrated an equally high-scoring 6:3 (2:1, 3:2, 1:0) victory in the home game against the Löwen Frankfurt. The Iserlohn Roosters were also successful on their own ice, defeating the Grizzlys Wolfsburg 2-1 (1-0, 0-0, 0-1, 1-0) after extra time.
Cologne was challenged in the fifth away game in a row, in Bremerhaven Tanner Kero’s power play goal (16th) gave the Haie the lead. Oliwer Kaski (32′) increased the score in the second half before Colt Conrad (39′) scored in the lead for the hosts. Maximilian Kammerer (46th) restored the old distance for the Haie, but Alex Friesen (48th) responded promptly. But Cologne’s top scorer Patrick Russell (49th) scored the final point.
