Ice fountains may be sold to 12-year-olds, but did they cause the Crans-Montana inferno? “The core can reach 800 degrees”

Crackling firework sticks on champagne bottles appear to be the cause of the inferno in the Le Constellation bar in Crans-Montana. Remarkable, because the fireworks sticks used are so-called ice fountains that can even be sold to 12-year-olds. Isn’t ‘cold fireworks’ so innocent after all? And how well are those fireworks sticks actually regulated in our country?
