Arjen Lubach is happy that he will be back on the tube well before the parliamentary elections on November 22 with his daily TV show on NPO 1. “We are well on time!”
For makers of current programs it is always very disappointing if they do not have a broadcast during major news events. For example, Arjen Lubach is currently not on the tube with his daily TV show De Avondshow with Arjen Lubach, while the cabinet has just fallen. In fact, even NPO 1’s late talk show Op1 will stop after tonight.
Arjen goes wild
But after the summer holidays, both De Avondshow and Op1 will return to the tube, where they will form a tandem again on the late evening of NPO 1.
Arjen jokes on Twitter: “The fall was not in our agenda. I will address the ‘planning current affairs’ department about this. But… September 4th we’ll be back! Just in time to go wild for the elections. 💪🏻”
‘Call Rutte!’
Arjen is currently in the theaters where he responds to current affairs. “So it may be that we will soon have someone and then we will long for Mark Rutte,” he jokes in his show.
He continues: “Imagine that! So that’s possible, right? That next year we will be like: ah, shit. Ah, give Mark a call! “Ah, Mark, can you still?” ‘No, no, sorry, it’s test week.’”
