Antti Tuisku would have liked to participate in the Only Life program in 2014. Joona Rissanen
In 2014, Antti Tuisku already had a career behind him for 10 years, and he was supposed to participate in the highly popular Vain lääää program.
– I had put all my eggs in the basket that I would be involved in the 2014 film Vain äääämä[…]I have earned my place there. All I have to do is go there, and then my career will take off, Tuisku recalls Krista Hannulan in the directed documentary.
The situation changed. Tuisku was vacationing in Thailand at the end of 2013, when record company boss Asko Kallonen called. Kallonen said that Vesa-Matti Loiri decided to participate in the program. The production company and Nelonen agreed that Tuisku is the artist who will be eliminated from the program.
– In that line-up, I was the least important artist, Tuisku times.
In addition to Vesa-Matti Loir, the 2014 Vain elämää artists were Jenni Vartiainen, Samuli Edelmann, Paula Vesala, Toni Wirtanen, Paula Koivuniemi and Elastic.
After staying on the beach, Tuisku realized that success cannot depend on whether he is part of a program.
– I realized that I have to build my own musical path. My music must be so big that I can define where I go with it.
In February 2015, Tuisku released the album En komenti, which included a song The beast is unleashedand Tuisku’s popularity exploded.
