During her time at Koffietijd, Loretta Schrijver was ‘regularly’ pissed off at one of her colleagues, because she didn’t think the preparations were good enough. “But I didn’t dare correct anyone.”

It was a shame for Loretta Schrijver, but on the other hand it was also a blessing that Koffietijd came to an end. She said she could no longer give herself an attitude. “I have also often felt misunderstood. Especially during the Coffee Time period,” the presenter explains in conversation with The Telegraph.

Perfectionist

Her favorite co-host Quinty Trustfull was not to blame, according to Loretta. “I formed a front with Quinty. We have a friendship for life. However, things regularly happened that I did not agree with. That you were presented with a list of topics and you thought: ‘Who put this together?’”

She continues: “My perfectionist nature was rarely understood. That misunderstanding consumed too much energy, I now dare to say retroactively.”

Spasmodic

However, Loretta didn’t dare say anything more about it. “The whole world also became tense in the last season. After all the so-called cross-border cases, a culture of fear emerged in other places. So no one dared to correct anyone else anymore. Completely freaked out.”

“And do you know what it is? This applies to all levels, from top to bottom within the company. So everyone had to swallow everything. Over the past year I have been tiptoeing in a world that was no longer mine. The fact that Coffee Time ended was just right for me. It had been beautiful. Time for things that are really important to me.”
