Tina Nijkamp supports Splinter Chabot when it comes to the criticism of the striking jacket that he actually wears during every TV appearance. “It doesn’t matter to me at all,” says the TV authority.
It is a bit striking: Splinter Chabot is invited to give fashion lectures in Eva Jinek’s talk show, but always shows up in the same outfit. TV critic Victor Vlam thinks this is a bit poor for a so-called fashion expert and is somewhat critical mail transferred to X.
‘It doesn’t matter’
Tina Nijkamp has also experienced it, but stands up for Splinter. “Yes, ehhh, if that’s what it comes down to: it doesn’t matter to me at all. There was a commotion about it. Victor Vlam said: ‘It’s strange, because he had that jacket on before’, while I think: what is this about?!”, she says in the podcast Tina’s TV Update.
According to her, this is absolutely irrelevant. “It’s just about a jacket, about clothes. René van der Gijp always wears the same top, I also wear the same top when I’m in a talk show. I think a lot of people.”
Same jacket
Many TV stars often wear the same clothes, says Tina. “I think Renze often wears the same suit. Johan Derksen too, Wilfred Genee too, so what is it about? No, nonsense. So it was completely fine that Splinter Chabot had the same jacket on and it was a nice jacket too.”
By the way, Tina is known to have no interest in clothes. When Wendy van Dijk presents in a burlap bag, she thinks it’s fine. During her time at SBS, she even wanted to get rid of all stylists because it would mean a significant cost saving, but the presenters rebelled against that and that is why it did not happen.
