HZVV turns backlog in the second half, Noordscheschut plays a draw

FOOTBALL – A successful day for the teams from Drenthe in the Hoofdklasse B. HZVV won 1-2 after a strong second half on a visit to SDC Putten. Noordscheschut took the second point of the calendar year by drawing 1-1 at home against DETO from Vriezeveen.

Thanks to the victory, HZVV is more firmly in 8th place, Noordscheschut remains the last in the competition.

The better team

HZVV has been on the rise in recent weeks. The team of trainer Rick Mulder won the last three games and took three more points home today. It was not very easy today: “In the first half we came undeservedly behind from a standard situation, while we had the most opportunities”, said Mulder.

Not for the first time, the team from Hoogeveen managed to turn the game around in the second half. In the 56th minute Jan Hup shot the ball into the corner with a beautiful shot. Ten minutes before the end, substitute Jesse van Dalen scored the winning goal after a smooth attack. Mulder has a clear explanation for the successes of the past few weeks: “We are currently only dealing with one long-term injury. With a fit selection we participate with the best teams in the Dutch big league”.

Shooters show character against DETO

In recent weeks, Noordscheschut can often keep up with the opponent, but it hardly yields any points. Today Marc van Meel’s team was able to add the second point of the calendar year. In Noordscheschut, the last of the Hoofdklasse B kept the number 6, DETO from Vriezenveen, at 1-1. The Schutters quickly fell behind 0-1 with a goal from Tom Koelman. In a sluggish match, the Drenthe managed to pull off a draw. Robert-Jan Hamberg equalized in the 70th minute with a nice shot.

Next week Noordscheschut will visit Eemdijk from Bunschoten. HZVV will then receive the number 2, RKAV Volendam.
