FOOTBALL – There was no success in Drents today in the Saturday main division B. HZVV and Noordscheschut lost. HZVV did that on its own field against Buitenpost, while Noordscheschut went down sharply at Swift.
The already relegated Noordscheschut had no chance in Amsterdam against Swift, where it became 5-1 for the home club. Nick Koster saved the honor for the Blues and Whites at 4-0.
At halftime, HZVV faced a deserved 0-2 deficit against Buitenpost. Bernd Douma and David Kazimier took care of the goals. Sander Dzemidzic was still close to equalizing at 0-1, but his effort hit the crossbar.
More than fifteen minutes after the break, HZVV made it 1-2. A bicycle kick by Jorn Ballast from a corner from Dzemidzic was too powerful for the Buitenpost goalkeeper. HZVV wanted more, but the margin was again two in no time. Mark van der Meer scored the 1-3. Noah ten Brinke took care of the connecting goal just before time, but the red and whites didn’t get any further.
HZVV had to do without Alex Zomer, Jan Hup and Lorenzo Valente (all suspended). Maurice Tinholt was also ill, Kelly João injured and Walter Dias Nzasi has now left HZVV.
