According to the Gendarmerie royale du Canada (GRC), one of the victims, a 73-year-old woman, was dragged by the water. Rescue workers found her body on Sunday. The seventy had been missing since Saturday after the hurricane destroyed her house in the municipality of Channel-Port aux Basques.
A person on Prince Edward Island has also died, but the identity of the victim is no longer known.
