Raspadori scores in the first half, Dimarco doubles in the second half. Then Donnarumma saves everything and Mancini’s national team overtakes Rossi’s in the decisive match for qualification

Mancini’s national team in Budapest: Italy breaks the Puskas Arena 2-0, overtakes Hungary in the last match of group 3 and qualifies for the Final Four of June 2023. Intense first half, with the Azzurri determined and much more dangerous than the Hungarians. At 27 ‘the episode that breaks the game: Nagy’s mistake in the construction from below, Gulacsi is successfully pressed by Gnonto and Raspadori is the quickest to take advantage of the carom to bag the 1-0. The Hungarian reaction creates only some scrum until the interval, the only real thrill for Italy comes from an out of time exit of Donnarumma. Gigio, however, is extraordinary in the second half, especially on the unleashed Styles: his saves come after the doubling of Dimarco, ready to finalize a good action started by Barella and finished by Cristante. It ends 2-0, Hungary protests for a contact in the area between Bastoni and Adam but the penalty is not awarded even after the Var check.
