Hundreds of asylum children are waiting for clarity about the future, including Ariana from Emmen

One of the children is 12-year-old Ariana, she lives in the asylum seekers’ center in Emmen with her family. The family fled Uzbekistan nine years ago, but the procedures are still ongoing. “It stresses you out,” Ariana tells it Youth News. “You don’t know what can happen if we have to go back. If we have to go back, I would find that ridiculous. That you had to wait nine years for nothing.”
