Can RTL Tonight be even worse? Yes, the program proves in the third broadcasting week. Presenter Humberto Tan takes a low record. “And there is not even advertising in it!”
The makers of RTL Tonight can now have quartets with low records. It just doesn’t stop with the misery and yesterday it was bad again and kwel, reports viewing grade authority Tina Nijkamp on her analysis canal. “RTL Tonight now notes really low figures and notes a low record: 258 thousand viewers,” she writes.
Incredibly low
It is also bad in the commercial target group 25 to 54 years, according to Tina. A share of 13.7 percent is noted in this. “There is little uplifting to say about it. It even scores lower than, for example, unheard of news at 4 p.m. in the afternoon. 285 thousand viewers watched. Place 38 in the Top 100!”
The scores are really worrying, Tina adds in her podcast Tina’s TV UPDATE. “It is really a low record with only 258 thousand viewers and yes, that is very low when you consider that there is no advertising break in it and when you consider that they also started a little earlier.”
Far below
You can’t ignore that this is a flop, according to Tina. “That is of course very sad for that team that it is working hard, but the hard figures are simply not that good. Even in 25 to 54 years it is now very disappointing. Yesterday only 13.7 percent. That is far below the average that RTL 4 scores on Prime Time.”
That is on average ‘really around 17 percent’, says Tina. “So yes, that is really very unfortunate. You see that they have adjusted the format a bit again. They even really had three guests yesterday: Sjoerd Pleijsier naturally came to talk about the death of Joke Bruijs, but Oos Kesbeke was also there.”

The arrival of OOS was a bit much of a good thing, says Tina. “Striking, because he was still with Arjen Lubach last week, so I thought that was a strange choice that he was there. They are really still tweaking and watching how and what.”
Story boss Guido den attracter mainly finds the permanent experts weak. “The ‘experts’ at RTL Tonight do not contribute really meaningful expertise, so far, minus Frits Wester then,” he writes up X.
Tragic
What does Guido think of the new low record? “Tragic. It again teaches that TV success never arises on a drawing table, but only gets wings with a zíel, special feature and the right people. The randomly putting together vague clients that sand with the average viewer is visually programming.”
According to him, who is the weakest link? Ahmed Aboutaleb. “That Aboutaleb is full of himself, isn’t it. Every time I happen to hear him talking when sagging around, he is in one way or another always part of his interpretation of any subject.”
RTL continues
RTL will continue with RTL Tonight for the time being, despite the fact that of course every one knows that this program will sooner or later go off the tube. “Every new or renewed talk show needs time to continue developing and improving,” says the channel.
According to RTL 4, the team gets ‘plenty of time’ to work on that. Or, as it is popularly called: this will be pulled for months on a dead horse.
