Humberto Tan actually doesn’t miss his colleague Renze Klamer at all now that he has resigned from their talk show RTL Tonight. “I have a sports mindset, we have to continue,” said the 60-year-old presenter.
Renze Klamer, only 36, was the man who energized the late evening of RTL 4. He still has the ambition and energy to pull the cart, but since he left RTL Tonight, the old hands Humberto Tan (60) and Beau van Erven Dorens (55) have to do the job, together with the somewhat disappointing Leonie ter Braak (45).
Sports mindset
RTL Tonight is not quite there, but Humberto remains hopeful. He cannot say that he misses his colleague, he says The Telegraph. “I have a sports mindset, we have to keep going.”
It appears that there is and was no contact between the two gentlemen. “I don’t know whether he will do anything else at RTL. He did not feel comfortable in RTL Tonight. Now Leonie ter Braak has started and I like that very much.”
Alternate
After New Year’s Eve, RTL Tonight will become even more of a kind of RTL Boulevard, because there too the presenters will now alternate every other week.
“Our agendas are quite full with other recordings. Now that Renze is no longer there, you have to adjust schedules. So it is more of an agenda-technical decision than a substantive choice for the program.”
