The Today Inside smear against Humberto Tan is becoming increasingly fierce. Now the troubled presenter is even called a ‘fake monkey’. “I think that monkey is a really difficult word in this.”
Johan Derksen has been waging a smear campaign against Humberto Tan for quite some time now. Hardly a week goes by that the TV mustache in Today Inside does not come loose on the talk show host of RTL 4. It is therefore quite painful that Humberto of all people presented the Website of the Year election yesterday, where the VI website emerged as one of the winners.
Gritting his teeth
It is inevitable that Humberto viewed this as ‘gritting his teeth’, according to Johan yesterday in Today Inside. Colleague Wilfred Genee then: “I almost think so too. He must be a bit disappointed about that, don’t you think? Do you think he is sensitive to that if something is said here?”
Johan thinks so. “He is very sensitive to that. He does not allow us to see the light in our eyes.”
Fake monkey
Wilfred thinks that is understandable. “Well, you’re not always positive about him, of course.”
Johan: “No, I am not positive about him at all, because I think he is a fake monkey.”
Wilfred is shocked by this: “I think that monkey is a difficult word in this.”
Johan: “Yes, but that is not meant to be racist, but it is fake.”
To watch out
Wilfred believes that Johan should not use racist language. “You have to be careful with that. I mean, I can imagine that you don’t like him… Well, you can think so.”
Johan: “A fake crocodile.”
Wilfred: “What are you saying?”
Johan: “A fake crocodile.”
