Huge superyacht just barely fits through the Schellingwouderbrug in Amsterdam

Just before 7.30 this evening a huge superyacht sailed under the Schellingwouderbrug over the Buiten-IJ on the Zuiderzeeweg in Amsterdam. The ship is 118 meters long, making it one of the largest yachts ever built in the Netherlands. The ship barely fit through the bridge.

The yacht bears the name ‘1010’, although that can be changed later. The yacht was built by the Dutch Feadship and it is the largest yacht ever made by the company. Although Feadship also has a bigger yacht in the making.

The mega yacht left the construction hall in Makkum yesterday and is on its way to a Feadship yard in Amsterdam. This is where the last dots are put on the i before the ship is delivered. It is not known who bought the ‘barge’.
