In case of defeat against Magdeburg
Tom Sanne made his professional debut in the second division game between Hamburger SV and 1. FC Magdeburg. Only a short time later he wrote a piece of club history with his goal to make it 2:3, which ultimately also meant the final score.
Sanne is now 18 years, six months and ten days old the youngest HSV goalscorer in the lower house and overtakes Josha Vagnoman, who was three months older in September 2019. Across all competitions, only five pros were younger when they scored their first goal: Uwe Seeler, Fiete Arp, Heung-min Son and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
