HSV sports director Jonas Boldt talks about stagnation at Faride Alidou

Chakvetadze in favor of TM users

Ordered from the regional league team to the pros last autumn, HSV attacker Faride Alidou quickly earned the reputation of the “whiz kid” with convincing performances. However, the 20-year-old, who will join Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt next summer, was not really gaining momentum. Hamburg’s sports director Jonas Boldt now commented on the possible reasons.

The U20 national player was last taken out of the game by coach Tim Walter in both the northern derby against Bremen and in Sandhausen at half-time. In 2022 Alidou is still waiting for his first goal. “He’s a very young player. The opponents may have adjusted to him a bit. In addition, he is now the player who will play in the Bundesliga next year,” Boldt said in the “image‘ newspaper quoted.

“Perhaps he was praised a little too much over the green clover,” continued the 40-year-old. “But we always said in the preliminary round that we saw a lot of scenes that were perhaps a little lost because the spectacular scenes were hung a little higher. Maybe the efficiency was a bit more there. That also plays a role.”

According to reports, Alidou has signed a contract with Eintracht until 2026. The Hessians had their sights set on the native of Hamburg in the past winter transfer window, but initially signed Ansgar Knauff on loan from Borussia Dortmund on the left wing position. Alidou’s recent slump in form is also a subject of much discussion in the TM community. TM user “HamburgOnTour” writes in the forum: “Due to his change in the summer, I think it’s right to only look at his performance and it has been falling massively since December.”

Viewed soberly, Alidou is currently not bringing us any further. Due to his change in the summer, I think it’s right to only look at his performance and it has been falling massively since December.
His dribbling hasn’t been as dynamic for a long time and unfortunately his passing game is often too imprecise. I remember several scenes in the last few games where Alidou tries to switch sides and starts a counterattack straight away.
His degree has been rather poor so far…

Irrespective of Alidou’s upcoming move, but in view of his performances, some users on the wings are now in favor of more regular appearances by newcomer Giorgi Chakvetadze, who has been substituted on by Walter in four games so far. “You can critically assess the performance of everyone, not just those who go in the summer,” says user “tomg”.

there’s nothing to complain about, I would also put him on the bench and bring Georgi, but without this negative emotion that is brought in, and I don’t mean your clear analysis here.
and management can be critically assessed for everyone, not just for those who go in the summer? …

Sporting director Boldt categorically rules out the fact that HSV Alidou could take less account of his announced transfer in the future: “Faride is behaving really well and accordingly he gets our support.”
