A review published on Tuesday tells what kind of picture of Finland is in foreign media.
In 2024, Finland was particularly media visibility and security policy.
Helsingin Sanomat asked three well -known Finns what the world is thinking about Finland.
One of the interviewees is the actress living in France Peter Franzén. According to him, Finland is seen as “Arctic fairy tale where everything works”.
In particular, Finnish health care, education and nature are valued.
But according to Franzén, one comment has plagued him. The French newspaper wrote from Finland to a critical tone. The text was said to have always acted as Russian minions.
“The comment had been dismantled from the fact that Finland was once diplomatically balancing with Russia,” Franzén tells HS.
– I got a little bit of my hair. It was a nasty comment that was repeated in my neighborhood.
Franzén lives his wife, actress Irina Björklund and their common Diego-With his son in France.
Franzén commented to HS that Finnish nature is particularly important to him. He told Iltalehti in November 2024.
Finnish nature is a dear thing for the actor, but he criticizes its treatment.
– People do not realize how hell a valuable forest we have. If we are talking about unsustainable forest management, its name is open felling. It is crazy and grueling to see, Franzén says.
