Beer costing less than 1.5 euros won the Helsingin Sanomat beer test. The professional jury took in 19 low-cost lager beers in a test by Helsingin Sanomat. The winner was Saku Originaal, made by Sinebrychoff, who earned a full five stars and was described by the jury as fresh, tasty and balanced. In addition to Saku Original, two other beers stood out in the test. Saimaa Brewing’s unfiltered Marsalkka lager and Pirkka’s full-bodied, made by Olvi, received four stars.
