This academic year also strikes that certain courses grow strongly. The demand is particularly high within the social-agogic domain. “Everything that has to do with care, such as youth care and elderly care, is clearly on the rise,” says D’Hulster.

For many first -year students it is especially getting used to. Marthe Geeraert, Student Social Work: “I actually have no idea what to expect because I just come from high school. But I think it’s great to be busy with people. The options within social work are very wide and that is why I have chosen that direction.”

Eliot Masson also starts in the same course. “I think it is important that people feel good and have a good quality of life. That’s why I chose social work,” she explains.
