In the Susurluk district of Istanbul-Izmir road, around 20:30 on 13 December, the car with license plate 34 SD 7339 under the direction of Erdal Şeyda Lafçı hit the TIR with license plate 34 CGR 100 under the direction of Cengiz Yücel, which went out of control on the slippery road due to the rain. The car skidded and crashed into the barriers, stopping. Erdal Şeyda Lafçı lost her life in the accident, and Gülçin Ergül, the ex-soloist of Hepsi Group, was injured next to her. Ergül was taken to Balıkesir Atatürk City Hospital for treatment.

Gülçin Ergül’s father, Ali Rıza Ergül, also said that his daughter’s condition is improving. Ergül, who could not hold back her tears, stated that they were sorry for the death of Erdal Şeyda Lafçı and said, “There is not much to say. Our Erdal passed away. He was a good man in the world. I can’t say too much. Our daughter is getting better, we can’t be happy for her. We feel very sorry for Erdal. May God have mercy on Erdal. There is nothing to do. We will wait, there is nothing we can do,” he said.
