How Donald Trump wants to settle the cold war with China with the annexation of Greenland

“Greenland will join US of its own free will.” Barely a week after his inauguration, American President Donald Trump once again has his eye on the island. He also made it clear that if Denmark stood in the way of an agreement between Greenland and the US, he would see it as “an unfriendly act”. But why does Trump want to add that largely barren ice sheet to the US? The cold war with China seems to have something to do with this.
