It is more than a day after the police invaded on the site. Everything needed to make drugs has since been taken away. Two suspects, a 38-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman from the municipality of Drechterland, have been arrested. The police don’t want to say more about it.
Anonymous tip led to VERST DRUGLAB
Beyond the house, in the back of the site, is Arjan, detective of the Drugsteam Noord-Holland. “We received a report a few days ago through crime anonymously that synthetic drugs may have been produced on the site. After police investigation there was sufficient information to investigate further.”
He emphasizes how important these types of reports are for the police. Because there is nothing to be seen from the street. There are trucks, trailers and containers on the site. Some are rented by the owner of the site.
The drug lab appears to be well hidden. We are taken to the shed in the back. A few hundred meters off the road. Surrounded by grassland and containers placed next to each other. A place where you can go anonymously.
WC odor blocks and a secret hatch
Inside the shed are various car parts, including a complete engine block. There is also a container house in the corner, with a table, chairs and a desk. WC odor blocks hang on the fluorescent tubes, which must cover up the strong chemical scent.
Behind the desk appears to be a hatch. Behind it turns out to be a whole drug lab. The police do not want to say what exactly drugs were made.
