Swedish Hovi has published a bunch of school pictures of king Charles XVI from Kusta78.
The reason is that Kaarle Kustaan Old Opportia, Humanistiska Lärok, a boarding school in Sigtuna, celebrates its 100th anniversary and the king will participate in the party on Saturday.
Charles Gustav, then Crown Prince Carl Gustaf, began his studies in Sigtuna in August 1959 at the age of 13 and spent his teenage years at a boarding school. He graduated from the school’s real line in the spring of 1966.

The pictures shared by the court show the young crown prince throughout school years. In the first picture taken in 1960, Kaarle Kustaa, dressed in a burgundy school costume jacket, looks seriously in the camera.
Some of the pictures are worse. The smiling royal is seen in the pictures with his schoolmates and in writing. One picture is taken from the school’s exercise class.
In the last pictures, the newly graduated King White Cap on his head and serpentine around his neck. Second in the last picture of the fresh student congratulates the then king, Charles Kustaa’s grandfather Gustav vi Adolf.

In the 1960s, the young Charles Gustav collected the reputation of the Playboy Prince, and he was also found in Sigtuna. The king of dyslexia is said to have completed the most modest grades.
Later, the king studied at Uppsala University, but did not graduate.
