In addition to Alrik and Keete, 26 other private buyers are in the same boat. Together they call on the municipality of Heiloo to find a suitable solution.
Do Alrik and Keete get their building permit, right?
“The municipality can also buy the piece of land from us,” says Alrik. “Then we can buy another house, but the municipality is not going to do that.” What they can do is meet the group and give a building permit in advance.
Responsible alderman Ronald Vennik (Spatial Planning) says that the plots that are eligible for this. “But we do set preconditions here, for example that a house must have its own access.” This means that a home must be able to be connected to existing roads.
According to Alrik and Keete, that is no problem for their home. “It is not what the municipality had in mind with Zandzoom, but then we can build. Everything is arranged. If it is up to us we will start building tomorrow. But the municipality must want it.”
