Just after 6 o’clock this morning, the fire brigade received a report of a serious fire in Beeklaan. When the fire brigade arrived, flames were already shooting out of the roof. Ultimately, firefighters quickly brought the fire under control. Despite the quick action, the entire attic was destroyed. According to the fire brigade, the fire must have been raging for some time before the alarm was raised.
The resident of the house and her children were able to leave the house in time and were unharmed. The house is temporarily uninhabitable. Another home is being sought for the family.
