STYLE INSPIRATION

At the latest with the release of her album “ARTPOP” in 2013, Lady Gaga made one thing clear: her music and her entire Gaga universe are pop culture through and through. She dedicates two of the tracks to the fashion world, “Donatella” is probably the only song so far about the Italian fashion icon and famous Versace designer. All the more fitting that the staging around “ARTPOP” drew all sorts of references from art and fashion. American super pop artist Jeff Koons designed the album cover along with a larger-than-life Gaga statue. And Lady Gaga herself liked to walk around as a walking Picasso painting.

VIDEOS

Most of Lady Gaga’s music videos are a firework of haute couture and craziness. But the inseparability of the singer with the world of fashion is particularly evident in the video for the song “Bad Romance”, released in 2009. The late British fashion designer Alexander McQueen performed her song in the finale of his Spring/Summer 2010 show and shortly thereafter sent her some of the outfits, including the breakneck Armadillo boots, which were then used in the video and, according to Gaga, “dictated” the entire outcome.

Lady Gaga is now a full-on actress, having been nominated for an Oscar for her role in A Star Is Born (she even took home the Oscar for Best Song) and for her performance in American Horror Picture Show” won a Golden Globe.

SELF IMAGE

The New York native’s goal is to destigmatize mental health issues and empower her fans, whom she affectionately calls her “Little Monsters.” To this end, together with her mother, she founded the “Born This Way Foundation”, a foundation dedicated to promoting mental health in young people and a kinder world. Her vegan beauty brand “Haus Laboratories” is also intended to convey that beauty has to do with authenticity. In a promo video on Instagram, the motto reads: “Beauty is how you see yourself.” And there is nothing to add to that.
