All approximately one hundred apartments in the flat in Slotermeer where a very large fire broke out last night have been declared uninhabitable for the time being. Residents who could not stay with family or friends were accommodated in a hotel.
One person died in the fire; his or her body was found in a home. The police are investigating the identity and whether there may be any criminal offenses.
