The fire started around 11:30 am. Photos show that the top floor of the house was seriously damaged. The fire brigade quickly scaled up to extinguish the fire faster. The residents of the house were already outside by then. There were no injuries.
The fire brigade has now got the fire under control, but is currently still extinguishing it. Because there are fire hoses across the road and the emergency services need space to work, the Obdammerdijk has been closed near the fire.
