House Amsterdam shot, police urgently looking for witnesses

After a shooting at a house on the Kinkerstraat in Amsterdam, the police arrested two men in the Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat. The police emphasizes that they may not be ‘the right suspects’ and are therefore urgently looking for witnesses.

The police were alerted around 7:45 p.m. after shots were heard by several people in the Kinkerstraat area. Initially, no traces were found. It later became clear that a house in the Kinkerstraat had been shot at.

According to the police, at least three shots were fired, including in a window and in a door to the stairwell that also connects to other homes. Bullet casings were also found.

After a search, the police arrested two men in the Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat. The spokesperson says that it is still unclear whether these are actually the suspects that were being sought.
