Although Harry Kane has been in Munich since mid-August, FC Bayern’s star striker only found a permanent home shortly before Christmas. The Englishman lived in the hotel with his family until the end – and left a lasting impression on the boss there.
The five-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel in the heart of Munich hosted an extremely prominent guest for almost four months. After moving from Tottenham Hotspur to FC Bayern, none other than Harry Kane, the record champions’ new superstar, was relegated there.
Last week, the captain of the English national team said goodbye to his temporary living room and moved with his family to a villa in the south of Munich.
He then thanked the hotel staff with warm words. “A big thank you to the hotel staff for making me feel at home since moving to Munich. They played a big part in helping me settle in so well,” wrote Kane on Instagram.
Harry Kane will be at home at FC Bayern
Hotel director Dominik G. Reiner is particularly pleased with the Bayern star’s praise, as he revealed in the “AZ”. “We are honored and deeply grateful for the warm words and appreciation that Mr. Kane expressed to our team and his Munich home on his Instagram account,” he told the Münchner Blatt.
Reiner emphasized that they always paid attention to discretion with the star guest and offered “flawless service”. “We pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere of calm and intimacy where our guests can feel at home.”
Since moving last August, Kane had been looking for a suitable home for himself, his wife Katie and their four children.
However, the search for a place to stay was difficult because the former offensive player apparently did not want to buy a house but instead wanted to rent.
A few weeks ago, according to information from “Bild”, he is said to have found what he was looking for in Baierbrunn near Munich. The new residence will be located on the Isar and will have high walls to keep curious guests away. Former Bayern stars Lucas Hernández and Mehmet Scholl lived in the same house before Kane, writes “AZ”.
