The final tournament of the Nations League will take place in June next year. Where exactly was not clear – until now. There are two options.
It is already clear when the final tournament of the Nations League will take place: the final round of the competition will take place from June 4th to 8th, 2025. Now UEFA has also announced where the final tournament will be held. Either in Italy or in Germany. The decision on the host will be made based on the sporting comparison between the two four-time world champions. The winner of the quarter-finals will be awarded the final tournament.
Munich and Stuttgart are planned as venues for the final tournament. Should Julian Nagelsmann’s selection prevail against the “Squadra Azzurra”, the winner of the quarter-final between Portugal and Denmark would initially be the opponent on June 4th. The second finalist will be determined on June 5th, between the winners of the knockout duels in March between Spain and the Netherlands and France and Croatia.
The next Nations League winner will be chosen on June 8th, and the game for third place will also take place on the same day. Germany has never reached the final tournament in the previous three editions of the competition.
The DFB applied with a total of nine possible venues. However, UEFA’s preference was towards the south, as the Champions League final will take place in Munich on May 31st and many of the logistical preparations in the stadium have already been completed there. Italy is entering the race with two stadiums in Turin.
