Hospital not prepared for Muslim patient’s wishes: ‘Doctors must make room for religion’

Leukemia patient Dilara from Zwolle had been given up by doctors, but was still flown to Turkey at the end of January for further treatment. Her parents believe that Allah is about the end of their daughter’s life and not the doctors. Hospitals in the Netherlands are increasingly confronted with these kinds of issues. And they are not well prepared for that, experts say.
