During tests in a laboratory at the University of Catanzaro, in the southern Italian region of Calabria, animals were tortured and killed in the most cruel ways. Animals had their heads cut off without anesthesia or were thrown alive against the wall. The hygienic conditions the animals found themselves in were appalling.
