Hordeloopster Maayke Tjin A-Lim clocks new personal best in Greece

Maayke Tjin A-Lim has tightened her personal best in the 100 meter hurdles. The 24-year-old athlete of AV Zaanland ran 13 seconds and 16 hundredths in the Greek Kalamata.

Tjin A-Lim, who lives in Hoorn, was three hundredths faster than her PR from 2021. With a minimal tailwind, Tjin A-Lim also raced to the victory of the Papaflessia meeting.

At the beginning of this year, Tjin A-Lim took silver at the Dutch National Indoor Championships and qualified for the World Indoor Championships for the first time. There the athlete reached the semifinals. At the Ter Specke Bokaal in Lissa, Tjin A-Lim walked to a lightning fast time of 12.91 seconds† However, that was with too much tailwind, so the time was declared invalid.

NH Sport recently made a portrait of Maayke Tjin A-Lim.
