The rape took place on Wednesday. That day around 6:15 p.m., the victim was walking along the Langepad, which runs parallel to the Driemerenweg (N205), when she was suddenly overtaken by a man.
He stood in front of her, grabbed her and pulled her into the bushes. There he raped her and then fled.
The victim quickly managed to alert the police, who responded en masse to the report to search for the suspect. This happened in a large radius around Het Langepad.
For example, photos show several police vehicles on a site on the IJweg in Nieuw-Vennep, close to Beinsdorp. A police helicopter and police dogs were also deployed in the search for the suspect.
