Honor killing trial in the Netherlands: tied up Ryan (18) was thrown into a swamp because she behaved “too Western”

In the Netherlands, the trial surrounding the honor killing of Ryan Al Najjar (18) is underway. Her brothers Mohamed (23) and Muhanad (25) are accused of throwing her into a swamp while she was tied up. The girl eventually died by drowning. However, her father Khaled (53), who is now safe in Syria, claims to be solely responsible for her death. Ryan had to die because she allegedly behaved “too Western”.
