Honkai Star Rail updates to version 3.0, and promises a wide range of new features… starting from what time, though? Here are the details.
Amphoreus awaits, and a heroic saga that will span all of 2025 is about to begin in Honkai: Star Rail 3.0.
HSR 3.0 brings to the table a new planet, a new story and new events, not to mention a new path for your playable characters, of which Trailblazer (Remembrance) will be the first taste. The Herta and Aglaea join the roster of units across Honkai Star Rail 3.0 banners, which also have plenty of replicas to offer. Oh, and character outfits are coming with a free March 7th (Preservation) skin as a starter. First, however, you will have to download and install the patch.

Honkai: Star Rail servers will be offline on January 15, 2025, at 6 am (UTC+8), in preparation for the 3.0 update. Here’s what that means for your time zone:

The Honkai: Star Rail servers will be offline for five hours, after which players will be able to log in to the game and begin exploring version 3.0 content.

HoYoverse usually doesn’t need more time than the expected five hours, so here’s when Honkai: Star Rail Update 3.0 should be available in your time zone if all goes according to plan:

Each hour of server downtime will be compensated with 60 Stellar Jade, for a total of 300 in-game currency. If maintenance takes longer than expected or if bugs are fixed that impacted player experience in the previous version, further compensation will be paid – this should be discounted for 3.0, given that the most serious errors, such as the Aventurine bug, are still lurking.
Be sure to check your in-game email and request compensation within 30 days of updating, otherwise your currency will be lost.
The preload —
The preload for Honkai: Star Rail update 3.0 on PC, iOS, Android and PS5 is available now: This will allow you to download most of the files needed to update the game well in advance, allowing you to dive into the game much more quickly when the 3.0 update goes live.
