Sure, she could have put the money with her and spent it on a patio. “But I’m not like that.” So Mariska van Blokland-Pasveer from Enkhuizen is looking for the rightful owner of the amount that he or she left in an ATM on Friday morning.
On Friday morning she walked unsuspectingly through Enkhuizen. “I was walking past a store and suddenly heard a beeping. I saw that there were bills sticking out of the ATM. I took it out and had a receipt printed out so that I can verify it with the rightful owner.”
Mariska posted a message on facebook, hoping to find owner of the money. “Of course I could have easily put the money with me, but that’s not how I work. I hope someone will report to me. If not, I’ll take it to the municipality as a found object.”
No world amount
She doesn’t want to give too many details, which only the rightful owner can know. For example, about the amount. “It is not a world amount. But what is little for one person can mean a lot of money for another. At least you can do good shopping with it.”
