Last season, Hoogezand became champion of the first division on Sunday under the leadership of Germain Beck. Because the club had already indicated that it would switch to Saturday football, promotion was not forthcoming. This season, the club started the season dramatically, but the road has been rising in recent months. Nevertheless, the five-member players’ council went to the board with the message that they no longer have confidence in Beck.
